Mission for Press Freedom :
Media when we say gives us a feeling of a free voice which supports the cord of public outcry. The journalists & other media persons who work round the clock facing all kinds of natural & un natural circumstances sometimes resulting into the death of the veteran souls.

AFTQ condemns the imprisonment, killing of all those who have faced or facing the challenge of their existence.

We support our media brothers who put their lives just to get us moving & alert. There are laws which protect the press freedom in many countries but there are regimes which does not permit this freedom to survive in their space.

Armed For The Quill forms a strong lobby to force governments to support press freedom with the co-existence of the right to freedom of speech is recognized as a human rights under Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution recognized in international human rights law in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR).

The ICCPR recognizes the right to freedom of speech as "the right to hold opinions without interference. Everyone shall have the right to freedom of expression.”

AFTQ’s mission is to secure the interests of the journalism where it is under threat. To provide an efficient & reliable platform where journalists, writers, reporters, editors etc can share information & where it can be circulated or distributed on a much wider circle.

AFTQ focus on to provide the safeguards for broadcasters & publishers who are now facing the persecutions for their work.

AFTQ’s vision is to foster the journalism climate where they have full access throughout the concerned region where there is no defamation no libel charge or any interference by any authority who keep trace of media activities to be saves from the fear of criticism.

We work with policy makers where our main focus is to ensure the safe horizons for press under which journalism can flourish & be respected by the society at large.

Where the accesses for Press is denied or are faced by the dangers of terror & organised crime we work on inventing information generation channels which can without putting journalist in danger can be made available & accessible.

Education & Professionalism for efficient & ethical news generation is important which if absent on the national level hampers the progress of the positive media environment which simultaneously risks the lives of journalists in volatile regions where safeguards & experience of ethical journalism counts the most. In order to tackle this problem which is being faced by many news agencies & other freelancers we support the trainings & development programs for journalists in the effected regions. AFTQ promotes the institutions & initiators who supports in providing professional training & development programs for press n media in order to improve the level of ethical & professional journalism in their regions.
