Officially The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) is a country in East Asia, occupying the northern half of the Korean Peninsula. The Korean Demilitarized Zone serves as the buffer zone between North Korea and South Korea. The Amnok River and the Tumen River form the border between North Korea and the People's Republic of China. A section of the Tumen River in the far northeast is the border with Russia. Eternal president is Kim Il-sung (deceased). Chairman, National Defence Commission is Kim Jong-il. Capital city is Pyongyang. Major language is Korean. North Korea is one of the most isolated countries in the world. It is one of the toughest countries for international press for coverage. The leader Kim Jong il has the direct control on the North Korean Press including the control of national television network, radio, publishing agencies including all forms of communication. Listening of foreign radio or calling someone abroad will land the culprit in concentration camp. A slightest typing of grammatical error will lead you to severe charges or may send to revolutionary camps.

North Korea is the hardest prison for any media personnel.
